Banks Will Closed for 6 Days From Tomorrow – This is the Reason? Full Lists Here!!! Generally, at the beginning of every year the Reserve Bank of India publishes a list of bank holidays for that year. Likewise, the list of holidays for this year was published by the Reserve Bank for this year. And the private and public sector banks across the country are observing holidays according to the list. Thus, the bank holidays have been observing on certain days in the month of August.
Already almost 9 days have passed since the beginning of this month, banks were closed for 2 days due to the weekend and Muharram festival. Following this, banks will be closed for six more days from tomorrow in some cities due to various festivals. This includes national holiday. Now customers are advised to complete any work related to the bank as soon as possible.
As per the announcement on August 11, due to Raksha Bandhan festival banks in Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Dehradun, Jaipur, and Shimla will remain shut. August 12, banks in Kanpur, and Lucknow will closed for Rakhi festival. Banks in Imphal will remain closed on August 13, due to Patriot’s Day. Moreover, August 14 (Sunday) is weekend. All banks remain closed on every Sundays. Following this August 15 Independence Day, is a national holiday.
So, the banks will also remain shut. Due to Parsi New Year on August 16 the vanks in Belapur, Mumbai, and Nagpur will be closed. On August 18 and 19, banks will remain shut for Janmashtami in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Kanpur and Lucknow. Due to Janmashtami and Krishna Jayanthi banks in Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gangtok, Jaipur, Jammu, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong and Shimla will remain closed on August 19.
