Assam Forest Recruitment 2020 Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering/Geography/Remote Sensing/Earth Sciences.
6 months’ Certificate/Diploma in GIS Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics.
Proficiency in GPS and GIS software, including ESRI products like Arc View, ArcTool, ArcCatalog and ERDAS / open source software.
Proficiency in written English, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Two years’ experience in GIS

Salary Details for Geographic Information System (GIS):

Assam Forest Department gives the pay of Rs. 35,000/- (Rupees Thirty Five Thousand only) per month for selected candidates.

Job Descriptions:

To support the FCA Nodal Branch/CAMPA in GIS related works.
Screening/ processing of online forest clearance proposals on parivesh.nic.in.
Field verification using GPS/GIS tools.
Interaction with Forest Survey of India (FSI), National Informatics Centre (NIC) and Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India (MoEFCC).
Application sent through other modes shall not be entertained.
Application received after the last date shall not be accepted.
Application must be submitted only in the prescribed format (Pages can be added while filling, if necessary). The filled in application and the testimonials should be properly scanned in pdf format.
Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for the Walk-In-Interview.
The list of the shortlisted candidates will be uploaded on the aforesaid website. The candidates are advised to visit the website regularly.
