AP SET 2020 Last Date Extended – Check Revised Important Dates and Exam Details Here!!! Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) is conducted by Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professors or Lecturers in the colleges and universities of the state. Now the exam date and last date to apply for this notification has been rescheduled. So candidates can know the revised important date details in this notification and download the same in our blog. Educational Qualification

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC (on the website: www.ugc.ac.in/oldpdf/consolidated%20list%20of%20All%20universities. pdf) are eligible for this Test. The Backward Classes (BC) /Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Transgender/persons with disability (PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test. (

Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of eligibility for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of BC/SC/ ST/PwD category candidates).

Such candidates must complete their Masters degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for test.

Application Fee

For OC / EWS Category Candidates  : ₹ 1200/- + Convenience Charges
For BC-A,BC-B,BC-C,BC-D,BC-E Category Candidates  : ₹ 1000/- + Convenience Charges
For SC/ST/PWD/Transgender  : ₹ 700/- + Convenience Charges

How to Apply for AP SET 2020?

  1. Go to the official website
  2. Click on the Registration Tab.
  3. Click on the ‘Apply Now’ on the bottom of the ‘Important Instructions’ page
  4. Enter the basic details that are Name of Applicant, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender along with the contact details.
  5. Enter the Password.
  6. After successful registration, candidates will get an email on registered email id.
  7. Login to the website using registered email id and password.
  8. Now enter academic details along with centre choice and click submit. Candidates have to upload the photograph and signature in prescribed format.
  9. After the uploading, Click Submit.
  10. A payment summary will be displayed on the screen.
  11. Click on ‘Make Payment’ to pay the application fee.
  12. Pay the application fee with the credit card/debit card or net banking.
  13. Take print out of application form of APSET 2020 for future reference.
