Anna university 2021: Semester and Re-Examination Conducted by Offline Mode. Anna University announces that the semester for April and May Examination 2021 and Re-examination for the students whose result was showed on Withheld at the result status, the examination will be conducted via Offline Mode.
Most of the students failed the semester exams held online last February and March. Anna University, which had described the online exam as a failure due to irregularities, had announced that a re-examination would be held.
In this case, the re-selection will take place 3 hours offline. Anna University has announced that the current April-May semester exams will be held offline, in paper-pen format.
Anna University Open Book Exam: The University announced on 19.04.2021 the examination will be conducted by Open Book Format. The open book format has been used many times for internal assessments, this will be the first time it is used for end-semester exams, said a senior official from the varsity. The semester exams in May for students of Anna University’s four campuses including College of Engineering, Guindy, and Madras Institute of Technology, Chromepet will be an open book-type proctored test online.
The university had earlier conducted a 60-minute online proctored test with multiple choice-based questions. “During that test, students tried to form WhatsApp groups and groups in Telegram to outsmart the online proctored test. Hence, the university has decided to move to descriptive type tests,” sources said.
