Amazon India has created more than 1,10,000 seasonal job opportunities ahead of the festival season. On 23.09.2021, E-commerce firm Amazon India has created more than 1.1 lakh seasonal job opportunities across its operations network, ahead of the festive season. The majority of the new workers have joined Amazon’s current associate network and will assist them in picking, packing, shipping, and delivering customer orders, according to the company.
Amazon India has over 60 fulfillment centers spread across 15 states, as well as over 1,700 Amazon and partner delivery locations. Direct and indirect jobs are available in cities across India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Chennai. These new roles are in addition to the 8,000 job openings announced earlier this month during Amazon’s first Career Day in India.

“During the festive season, customers across the country rely on Amazon for the safe, reliable, and fast delivery of their shopping orders. An additional workforce of over 110,000 will help us strengthen our fulfillment, delivery, and customer service capabilities,” Amazon Vice President (Customer Fulfilment Operations – APAC, MENA, and LATAM) Akhil Saxena said.
Amazon India said it has been working towards creating opportunities for underrepresented cohorts such as people with disabilities, women, military veterans, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
