All Girls University bans Smartphones on Campus!!! Rs. 5000/- Fine Imposed. On Wednesday, an all-girls university in Pakistan’s conservative northwest barred students from using smartphones on campus, arguing that it impairs their “behaviour and performance.” The university announced in a notice that starting April 20, all cellphones, touchscreen phones, and tablets would be prohibited on campus. If a cell phone was detected, a fee of Rs 5000 would be imposed, and the student would be subjected to “severe disciplinary actions.”

It is now announced for the benefit of all students that, as of April 20, 2022, smartphones, touchscreen mobile phones, and tablets will not be permitted on the campus of Women University Swabi. It has been observed that students use extensive social media applications doing University timings which affect their education, behaviour and performance,” the notification read.

It’s worth noting that Women University Swabi is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a province where Taliban terrorists are active and periodically target girl schools. When it comes to the Taliban, the group has once again demonstrated its real colours by failing to deliver on its high promises of bringing in’moderate’ government.

The Taliban’s Supreme Leader issued a new edict for Afghan women earlier this month, prohibiting them from working in offices or leaving their homes. “Women do not work in offices and do not leave the house,” according to HaibatullahAkhundzada’s new directive for Afghan women.

The Taliban closed all secondary institutions and universities for girls after segregating classrooms for men and women. ‘Co-education,’ according to Taliban Education Minister Abdul BaqiHaqqani, was the basis for the closure of universities in Afghanistan.

According to Pajhwok Afghan News, the number of women journalists in Afghanistan has decreased by 50% since last August. The terror group has gone to great lengths to minimise women’s position in public and social arenas.
