Accor re-hires dismissed workers third of 1,500 laid off Employees. The French multinational hospitality company Accor S.A, again appoint their old employees whose are early dismissed by that company. The company already rejected the service of 1,500 employees now they have to declare that it will re appoint one by third of the employees from their rejection list. This company administrates the franchiese hotels, resorts and some vacation properties. Accor is the Europe largest hospitality organization. And compared to the world wide it becomes the sixth largest. It has 5,199 branches in 110 countries in all over the world.
On 4th August of the year 2020 , Accor planed to lay off 1,000 staff, as lockdown measures and border closures implemented around the world to tackle the coronavirus pandemic weighed on its first-half results. Accor, which owns brands such as Ibis and Movenpick, reported earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) down 153.7% year on year, at a negative 227 million Euros (currency in Europe). The company added 81% of its hotels were now open. This reasons to lay-off their employees. Marc Descrozaille, Accor’s COO for India, Middle East Africa said that, they have 6000 employees in India for their company they dismiss out of 25 percentages of them during the situation of covid 19 pandemic because of their low revenue. Now they collect fund for their workers from the stakeholders of their organizations. And calculating this situation they decided to re- hire their employees as one by third of the 1500 workers.
