This face authentication transaction experienced a record-breaking usage count of 10.6 million in May month. According to the report, this is the highest number of transactions that has been recorded ever since the introduction of the facility in October 2021.

When compared to the January 2023 transaction, the May month transaction has been has been hiked by 38%. This shows the upward trajectory for the transactions using this facility. The report also states that this face authentication transaction is currently used by 47 different entities from the central & state government, ministries and certain banks.
Many state governments are using this facility to convey the eligibility of the people for various schemes like fee reimbursement for eligible students, providing welfare schemes for the backward session people, and others. This facility is also used for certain state government departments to mark attendance and for opening bank accounts. By using this face authentication the success rate of the verification and the user interface is also increased.
