The company is facing some problems in inviting thousands of employees back to the offices. As of now, only 20 percent of TCS employees are working from the office.

Meanwhile, the IT firm announced the 25/25 model last year and said it would be implemented by 2025. According to this model, only a quarter of TCS’s total workforce can work from the office at any given time. Now the company is ready to invite employees to the office before launching this new model. TCS, meanwhile, says remote work cannot be a stand-alone arrangement.

That means flexibility, customer needs, choices, compliance risks, and regulations need to be considered as TCS’ customers have already started moving to offices and labs, said TCS Chief Operating Officer N Ganapathy Subramaniam.
