3 More TN Products Got GI Tag: The Geographical Indication (GI) tag is a sign given to the products that have a specific geographical origin and attain qualities and credit due to the elegance of making the products in certain origins. This GI tag will be issued by the Geographical Indication registry which comes under the Department of Industry Promotion and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Recently, three products in Tamil Nadu have got a GI tag, the products are listed below,

These three products got unique places among their contemporary and their region of origin has bagged GI tags due to the uniqueness of the products. As of now, Tamil Nadu Bags first place to hold most of the GI-tagged products; TN has 58 GI-tagged products. The notable thing is after the DMK party forms the government, 17 products got GI tags.
