150 Crores Worth of New ESIC Medical College Hospital to be Set up??? Know the TN Govt Plan!!! There are reports that a new medical college will be established in the Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu. Namely, it is reported that the Tamil Nadu government has proposed to set up ESIC Medical College Hospital with high-quality treatment facilities in the Sivakasi area of Virudhunagar district.
Labor Welfare and Skill Development Minister C.V. Ganesan have said that the government is planning to set up an ESIC Medical College for the firecracker industry in Sivakasi. About 1,064 firecracker factories are operating in the Virudhunagar district. Almost 56 thousand workers are working in it.
Deaths also occur due to occasional accidents in these firecracker factories. Steps are being taken by the government to prevent these accidents. However, there are reports that the state government has decided to build the ESIC Medical College Hospital at a cost of Rs.150 crore to make the firecracker industry accident-free.
