10,000 E-Bus Likely To Be Deployed Soon Under PM e-Bus Sewa In 169 Cities: The union government has been planning to adopt green energy for various sectors to curb pollution in various forms. The budget formulated by FM has paved a path for this in terms of various factors. On Wednesday, the union government approved the ‘PM e-Bus Sewa’ scheme by allocating Rs. 57,613 crores.

Under these schemes, the government has planned to deploy 10,000 electronic buses across the 169 cities in the country. This was announced by union minister Mr. Anurag Thakur during a briefing on cabinet decision. Minister also announced that out of these 57.613 crores, 20,000 crores will be provided by the central government.
This scheme will initially cover the cities with a population of 3 lakh and above, this scheme will be initiated under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and this scheme will support the bus operation for 10 years. Minister also states that among 169 cities, 100 cities will be selected on a challenge method. This is one of the serious initiatives by the government and this could potentially control the major pollution in the road.
