World Senior Citizen Day 2023 Is Observing Today: Every year on August 21, World Senior Citizen Day will be observed to recognize the efforts and contributions of senior citizens across the world. The people who have attained 60 years of age are usually called senior citizens, whereas retired employees from the jobs are also referred as senior citizens.
They have an enriched experience and lots of wisdom from the decade of their life and this day gave us a chance to commemorate their contribution to society. The main aim of this day is to honor them for their efforts incorporating to uplift society.
The history to celebrate August 21 as World Senior Citizen day has begins in 1998, former US president Ronald Reagan declared August 21 to commemorate the efforts of senior citizens and later he announced this day as World Senior Citizens Day.
