Many Information Technology sector companies and other department companies are confused whether to continue Work From Home or call employees back to the office after hearing the World Health Organization warning that reads, Covid-19 pandemic is not over yet and cases are increasing in about one hundred and ten countries.
TCS, one of the largest IT companies in the country, has announced plans to pursue a hybrid model in the long term. The company is also planning to set up operating zones (OOZ) and hot desks across the globe. This is a system where employees can work and interact with team members from any TCS office. TCS follows 25×25 model. According to this, not more than 25 percent of the company’s employees are required to work in one office at a time. Employees should not spend more than 25 percent of their time in the office.

Infosys is also planning to follow the hybrid model in the long term. All offices will be opened in a phased manner. At present, only 5 percent senior officers reach the offices. The company also said that it will follow the hybrid model in the long term, taking into account the clients, regulatory environment and other priorities. Infosys also plans to review this every quarter.
