Schools for 10th and 12th class students are open today, while schools for 11th class students will be reopened soon, education officials said.
All schools in Tamil Nadu were closed last academic year due to corona infection. Thus the lessons were conducted online for the students. Schools are open today for 10th and 12th-grade students who are about to write the general exam as the infection has slightly subsided.
As the schools are reopened today, the Tamil Nadu government has ordered schools to follow corona prevention measures of the students. To verify this, the Government of Tamil Nadu has divided all the districts into 4 zones and appointed one IAS officer per zone.
He told reporters, “Since the schools have been reopened during the epidemic period, we are conducting intensive research on whether all the restrictions imposed by the Tamil Nadu government are being followed properly. For this purpose, a team of 1 has been appointed for each of the 3 schools.
Students are not required to come to school. There is no attendance record. Interested students should come to the school only with a permission letter from their parents. The opening of schools for 11th-grade students will be announced soon. “
Trichy District Collector told reporters that there are 503 high schools and secondary schools in Trichy district. Adequate funding has been provided to government schools for epidemic prevention care.
All schools have been instructed to strictly follow the rules of the disease. Action will be taken against schools that do not follow the rules. “
