WBMSC Recruitment 2020 has released. West Bengal Medical Services Corporation Limited (WBMSCL) is an organization wholly owned by the Government of West Bengal. It is responsible for procurement and supply of quality drugs, medicines & medical equipments in time to all the hospitals and ensuring regular maintenance of the same. WBMSCL invites online applications from interested & eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Engineer and Sub-Assistant Engineer. Age Limit for Assistant Engineer:

Applicable candidates should have not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2020. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved candidates as per PSC guidelines. Age recorded only in Madhyamik or equivalent certificate will be accepted.

Qualification for Assistant Engineer:

Candidates must have to complete 4 years Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Institute/ University recognized by the Central/ State Government. Atleast 3 years work experience of turnkey projects of centralized medical gas pipeline systems. Candidates having experience in other similar fields (like turnkey projects of centralized air conditioning systems etc.) may also apply. Desirable: Ability to speak, read and write in Bengali.

Salary Details for Assistant Engineer:

West Bengal Medical Services Corporation Limited (WBMSCL) gives the pay of Rs. 30,000/- Per month (Likely to be revised) for selected candidates.

Selection Process for Assistant Engineer:

Short listing of the eligible applicants would be done on the basis of the qualification, percentage of marks obtained from class-X level to Degree/Diploma Engineering and post qualification relevant work experience of the candidates. The shortlisted candidates will be called for a Written Examination and Interview before final selection. The exact date, time and venue of the Written Examination and Interview would be communicated to the candidates via email. It will also be available on www.wbmsc.gov.in of WBMSCL.
Screening and short-listing will be based on the details provided by the applicants. Hence, it is necessary that only accurate, full and correct information is furnished by the applicants. Furnishing of wrong/ false information will tantamount to disqualification.
Marks obtained at the School Final/Higher Secondary/ Degree/ Diploma course will be taken into consideration for the purpose of screening of application as well as for allowing weightage (max. 2 for Class-X, max. 3 for Class-XII and max. 5 for Degree/Diploma) for selection of candidates in the following method:

Final selection of the candidate shall be made on the basis of educational qualification, work experience, performance in the Written Examination and Interview all taken altogether.
The candidates in employment of public sector undertaking/ Govt. service will be required to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of Interview.
The written test will be held at Salt Lake, Kolkata, the date of which to be notified in due course.. Questions will be of MCQ type and mainly based on the concerned subject including general aptitude and English. One hundred(100) number of questions would have to be answered in two (2) hours. One (1) mark will be awarded for each correct answer. 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be given for an un-attempted question.

Important Instruction for Candidates:

The number of posts indicated in the notice may vary based on further assessment of requirement.
Candidate is required to bring the Admit Card along with any another Photo Identity Document (Voter ID Card (EPIC)/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/Aadhar Card) for written Test.
Any attempt of canvassing or influencing the officials related to the selection/ recruitment process would result in immediate disqualification of the candidate.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the management of WBMSCL will be final & binding on all candidates.

WBMSCL reserves the right to fix cut-off marks for qualifying in different stages like initial screening, written test, Interview etc.
The tenure of appointment will be contractual commencing from the date of actual joining and automatically ending on completion of 2 (two) years without any further notice, unless otherwise extended by WBMSCL.
WBMSCL, however reserves the right to terminate the service prior to completion of contract period by issuing 1 month’s notice or 1 month’s pay in lieu of notice.
Selected candidates will be posted anywhere in West Bengal.
Selected candidates shall be required to sign an undertaking to the effect that their engagement on tenure basis will not entitle them for any regular employment and that no claim in this regards seeking regularization, based on tenure engagement shall be preferred by them.
Leave will be admissible as per Leave Rules of WBMSCL applicable from time to time.
Depending upon the requirement of WBMSCL and subject to satisfactory performance, conduct and medical fitness, extension/ continuation of tenure of engagement may be considered at the sole discretion of Management.
Employees recruited on contractual service will be covered under contributory Provident Fund Scheme.
Short listed candidates called for Written Examination and/ or Interview will not be reimbursed any rail/bus/air fare.
Candidates appearing for Written Examination and/ or Interview will not be paid any TA.
Requests for change of mailing address, examination centre/ category/ discipline as declared in the application, will not be entertained.
