WB Police Recruitment 2021 Eligibility criteria

Age limit

For West Bengal Civil Emergency Force and West Bengal National Volunteer Force  post age limit should be 18 years to 40 years is mandatory.

For Wireless Supervisor Candidates age limit should be 21 years to 30 years is mandatory and for Wireless Operator post candidate’s age limit should be 18 years as on 01.01.2021.

Education Qualification

For WBNVF and WBCEF post: Candidates must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

For Wireless Operator Post: Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) or equivalent examination from any of the recognized Boards in Science with Physics and Mathematics.

For Wireless Supervisor Post: Candidate must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree with any of the following subjects :- Physics or Radio Physics or Electronics and Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or Information Technology from any recognized University.

Other Requirements

Candidate should be in good mental and physical health. They should be free from any deformity likely to interfere with efficient performance of their work.

The applicant must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.

For WBCEF Post: Applicant for the post must know swimming. They have to complete 50 meters swimming. They are also required to complete 800 meters run in 200 seconds. In case of applicants belonging to hill tribes the requirement of swimming may be relaxed, but they must learnt swimming within 06 (six) months from the date of their appointment, failing which they will be liable to be removed from the service.
