UPSC said that, after reviewing this COVID-19 pandemic situation carefully, the Commission has decided to conduct the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2021 as per schedule on 7th, 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th January, 2022.

Lots of aspirants were worried about travelling for attending UPSC CSE Mains examination. To solve this issue the commission has requested to State Government not to cause any inconvenience to UPSC CSE examinees and examination functionaries especially candidates who are coming from containment and micro-containment zones.

UPSC also announced that if necessary, candidates can use CSE mains exam admit card as movement passes. The UPSC also requested State Government to ensure the availability of Public transport services for candidates from one day before the examination till the date of the examination.

UPSC also said that 2 extra exam rooms given in each exam centre for candidates who are coughing, sneezing and feeling feverish. So, they can take the examination under appropriate safety protocols. Guidelines to conduct the examination in this pandemic situation are given by commission to competent District Authorities and the Venue Supervisors.
So, UPSC said that candidates no need to worry about the conduct of Civil Services (Main) Examination. Commission required all candidates to wear mask and maintain social distancing inside the exam hall.
