Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently advertised a much-awaited recruitment notification for Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Eligible candidates can apply till May 5, 2021. The UPSC CAPF’s Assistant Commandant recruitment exam will be held on August 8.

UPSC CAPF Vacancies:

The tentative Examination number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is as follows:

• BSF – 35 nos
• CRPF – 36 nos
• CISF – 67 nos
• ITBP – 20 nos
• SSB – 01 no
• Total – 159 nos

UPSC Recruitment 2021 Eligibility:

A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August 2021, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1996 and not later than 1st August 2001.

Age Relaxation is applicable as follows:

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years

Civilian Central Government Servants/Ex-Servicemen – 5 years

A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions or or possess an equivalent qualification.

UPSC CAPF AC Selection Procedure:

Written Examination:

• Scheme of the Examination will be as follows: (i) Written Examination: The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will be held on 08th August, 2021 and will comprise two papers.
• Paper I will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon and Paper II will be held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m

Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests:

• Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.

Interview/Personality Test:

• Candidate’s, who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, will be called for Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
• The Interview/Personality Test will carry 150 Marks.

Final Selection / Merit:

• The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.

UPSC CAPF Notification Application Fee:

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs.200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI.

• The applicants are advised to submit only a single application.
• Fill all the details in the application form and pay the application fee
• Candidates should upload the photo and sign in jpeg format in the application form
• While filling in his/her Online Application Form, the candidate should carefully decide about his/her choice for the Centre for the Examination.
• After the fee payment is done successfully submit the application form
