UGC NET Syllabus 2021 PDF – Download Exam Pattern Here!!!! The University Grants Commission has uploaded the National Eligibility Test Syllabus and Exam Pattern for the positions of Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor. The date of the UGC NET Examination for JRF and Assistant Professor in 2021 will be announced soon. The syllabus and exam pattern can be downloaded from the official website via the link provided below.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021:

Paper	Marks	Number of Questions	MCQ	Total duration
I	100	50	The questions in Paper I intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate	03 hours (180 minutes) without any break. All the questions are compulsory
II	200	100	This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge

Mode of Examination:

The Examination shall be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only

UGC NET Syllabus 2021:

UGC NET has released the syllabus in the official site. The Candidates can download the syllabus in the official site or the link given below. The subjects with their respective codes are given below.

Medium of Question Paper:

• The question paper will only be available in English and Hindi.
• When filling out the online Application Form, the Candidate should carefully select the medium of the Question Paper. Once you’ve chosen an option, you can’t go back and alter your mind.
• Candidates who select Hindi as their medium of instruction on the application form will receive a bilingual paper; however, candidates who select English as their medium of instruction will receive only an English version.
• Candidates must respond in the medium of their choice as indicated on the Application Form.

• If there is any ambiguity in the translation/construction of a question in the exam, the English version will be considered definitive, and the NTA’s decision will be final.

Marking Scheme:

• Each question carries 02 (two) marks.
• For each correct response, candidate will get 02 (two) marks.
• There is no negative marking for incorrect response.
• No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
• To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct
  option.
• If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous during the Key Challenge, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit. Only for dropped question(s), if any, marks will be given to all the candidates.
• In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall
  be given to the candidates who have attempted it.
