University Grants Commission is a statutory body that was set up by the Department of higher education, the Ministry of education, and the government of India. UGC controls all the universities in India. UGC will conduct a certain webinar to make awareness among the students and people regarding the courses that are introduced by UGC.
The webinar is titled “India’s Arctic policy: Scope and opportunities”. UGC plans to conduct this webinar on December 9 from 2 pm onwards. The government has recently announced The Arctic policy, and UGC wants to develop new courses regarding the policy. UGS has requested Higher Education Institute to develop online courses at UG & PG levels for SWAYAM platform.
India’s arctic policy is titled “India and the Arctic: building a partnership for sustainable development”. The policy majorly has six sectors i.e, strengthening India’s scientific research and cooperation, climate and environmental protection, economic and human development, transportation and connectivity, governance and international cooperation, and national capacity.
