To provide relief to the workers rendered jobless, Centre introduced Textile Workers Rehabilitation Fund Scheme (TWRFS)!! Textile Workers Rehabilitation Fund Scheme (TWRFS), a great new scheme launched by the union government to provide relief to the rendered unemployed workers who are all belongs to the textile department of India. This scheme got the power since 15.09.1986.
This tragedy came to the textile workers after the termination of non-SSI textile mills in private sector due to financial and labour problems early. Ministry of Labour and Employment collaboratively processes the Rajiv Gandhi Shramik KalyanYojna (RGSKY) with this Textile Workers Rehabilitation Fund Scheme (TWRFS) from 01.04.2017.
In 2017, TWRFS were merged with Rajiv Gandhi Shramik KalyanYojna (RGSKY) to avail benefits under the Scheme!!
The rendered jobless workers had benefits from that scheme. The cabinet of textile ministry programmed a Scheme for capacity building in textiles sector which is named as Samarth with an aim to address the skilled manpower requirement in textile sector. This scheme is managed under the broad policy guidelines of “Skill India” initiative and in alignment with skilling programme of Ministry of Skill development and entrepreneurship. Samarth scheme supplements the efforts of creating jobs in the organized textile and related departments of the entire value chain excluding Spinning and Weaving.
SAMARTH scheme supports skilled manpower requirement in textile sector!!
Samarth policy also supports talent development in the traditional departments of handlooms, handicrafts, sericulture and jute. The Minister of State for Textiles Darshana Jardosh provides these details in the mode of written reply to the question raised in the lok sabha house. This is the wonderful policy at last. This is our responsibility to product our textile workers who are still continue the nation’s ancient work which is also a beauty art.
