A Digital Designer’s primary responsibility is to bridge the gap between styling design and engineering/manufacturing. A digital designer is skilled in a variety of areas, including physical model creation, mesh modelling, surface modelling, solid modelling, and 3D CAD visualisation, among others. He or she is also well-versed in engineering, part details, and production procedures. One of a digital designer’s primary responsibilities is to ensure that quality, customer, and supplier standards are met.

- To deliver for downstream engineering and ultimate manufacturing, a class-A surface model with best-in-class design intent is required.
- Delivery of two-wheeler and three-wheeler surfacing projects
- Iterative design technique to suit packaging, engineering, and homologation needs in surface models (input: sketch, Scan, engineering CAD etc.)
- To assist with prototyping
- Validation of new designs through visualization
- To work with suppliers and internal customers to negotiate and resolve problems in order to find a reasonable and practical solution.
- To assess the manufacturing viability of surface models and work in collaboration with concept designers, engineers, other R&D departments, and manufacturers.
- To lead a team, encourage them, and meet their quality, cost, and timeline goals.
