Telangana SSC 10th, Inter 1st Year Exams 2021 Cancelled, 2nd Year Exams Deferred due to COVID19 surge. The State government of Telangana has cancelled the SSC Class X exams and inter first-year exams. Also the state government has planned to postpone the inter second-year board exams. This decision was taken by the board, due to current covid19 hike across the country.
This decision was after the meeting conducted by the state Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao with Education Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy, special chief secretary of education Chitra Ramachandran and other officials came to conclusion that the current situation is not appropriate for holding the examinations and the well fare of the students and teachers is the first preference.

Regarding this, the board officials have released the memo. As per the memo, the Telangana Board will declare Class Xth results on the basis of objective criteria to be developed by the SSC Board later. Inter 1st year, all the students will be promoted without exams. The new dates if Inter 2nd year exams will be announced later
Prior to this CBSE announced that, The central Board of Secondary Education has cancelled CBSE class 10 exam 2021 and postpone CBSE class 12 exam 2021 in the view of increasing COVID 19 cases. The decision about the CBSE exams 2021 came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting to discuss about the same.
After CBSE postponed the board exam, there are several states postponed their board exams. The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education announced the postponement of the examinations of classes 10 and 12. Chhattisgarh government had earlier put off class 10 exams which were scheduled to begin on April 15. Tamil Nadu too had in February cancelled class 10 exams.
