National:

  • Indian Scientists developed a Nanorod based oxygen sensor working at room temperature

Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS) An autonomous research centre which was directed by the Indian ministry of science and technology has developed a Nanorod based oxygen sensor working at room temperature

 This sensor will be used in the underground mines, hgher altitude places to save lives of people working there.

Nanorod based oxygen sensor working at room temperature with the help of UV radiation and detect the concentration level of oxygen gas.

The Scientist team showed that the sensor gives the best sensitivity with low power consumption and works at room temperature. The fabricated sensors exhibited response and recovery times of around 3 sec and 10 sec, respectively, at 1000 ppm.

  • Indian Researchers find the reason for decline in star formation activity 8 billion years ago

A team of astronomers from the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA-TIFR) in Pune, and the Raman Research Institute (RRI), Bangalore, an autonomous institute of the Department of Science and Technology, used the Giant Metre wave Radio Telescope (GMRT) to measure the atomic hydrogen gas content of galaxies 9 billion years ago.

The reason for the decline of stars in the universe was reduction in the amount of atomic hydrogen content of galaxies.

According to the researchers report comparing the level of  fuels in the galaxies now and 9 billion years ago , the fuel content of the  galaxies 10 times lower than that the 9 billon years galaxy.

  • Power ministry of India approved the use of domestic coal for the production of power generation with the reduction of cost.

Under this approvel India’s state and union territories has utilizes its domestic fuel for the power generation. This scheme will be the cost efficient for the power generation.

At present consumers of Punjab, Haryana and UP will benefit from this.  The expected savings in Punjab alone is going to be around Rs 300 Crores per annum.

  • Senior care Ageing Growth Engine (SAGE) initiative and the portal was launched by Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot

This scheme was launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot today .

Objective of this scheme is to focussing on the needs of India’s fast-rising elderly population and through the early start ups.

The start ups should be selected on the basis of their policy and production through the SAGE web portal.

  • Indus Best Mega Food Park at Raipur, Chhattisgarh was inaugurated by the Minister of Food Processing Industries Narendra Singh Tomar.

This food park enabled the features of longer shelf life for farm produce, better price realization for farmers and food processing sectors in Chhattisgarh.

  • Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced that the Validity period of Teachers Eligibility Test qualifying certificate extended from 7 years to lifetime.

On june 3, Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Stated this announcement and Insists the state government and union territories to take necessary actions through this.

  • A new generation meteorological satellite was successfully launched by china

China launched a new generation meteorological satellite which was named as Fengyun -4B into the planned orbit.

This satellite was aimed to be used for fields of weather analysis, environmental and disaster monitoring.

Observation range of the satellite include Asia, central Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean regions.

  • UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration Report.

UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration Report was launched by the  UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and Food & Agriculture Organization.

Through this report UNEP Insists the nations of world to join hands in their mission of for protection and revival of ecosystems across the world.

This Programme  aims to stop degradation of ecosystems and restore them to achieve global goals.

Kalpana Kochhar  Head of the human Resources Department of the International Monetary Fund,  After Her retiredment on this field  she was going to join Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

  • RBI Doesn’t change their repo rate for the sixth consecutive time.

Reserve bank of india keeps its 4.25% repo rate for the sixth consecutive time.

While announcing this policy the RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said that the projected Gross Domestic Product growth will be 9.5 per cent for the ongoing Financial Year of 2021-2022.

  • Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for may month has reduced 46.4 vs 54 in april Due to the pandemic situation .

Due to the second corona wave and the pandemic situation across the nation may months PMI shrinks to 46.4 , This was the lowest rate after the august.

  • The Defence Ministry of India made a contract with Mahindra Telephonics Integrated Systems Ltd., Mumbai for airport surveillance radars.

Rs. 323 crore worth project was signed between the Defence Ministry of India and Mahindra Telephonics Integrated Systems on june 3.

  • “International Booker Prize” a prestigious award was won by the French novelist David Diop.

French novelist David Diop won the  International Booker Prize  award for his novel At Night All Blood is Black, this novel was set during the first world war period.

He won a 50,000 dollars cash prize through this award.

  • US Actor Director Jodie Foster was honoured with Palme d’or at 2021 Cannes Film Festival
