Tamil Nadu Public Service commission (TNPSC) has released Notification for Assistant Jailor for 30  Vacancies (16 Men & 14 Women) in Prison Department. Candidates can apply through online from 08-10-2018 to 07-11-2018.

Name of the Post: Assistant Jailor

No. of Post: 30 (16 Men & 14 Women)

Note:  Women are not eligble for the post of Assistant Jailor (Men) and men are not eligble for the post of Assistant Jailor (Women).

Pay Scale: Level-11 Rs.35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400 /-

Age Limit: Candidates should have completed 18 years of age as on 01.07.2018 and Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all categories]  has NO upper age limit.

Age limit for General Category: 18 – 30 years as on 01.07.2018.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed Any Degree of any of the Universities recognized by the University Grants Commission for both Men and Women.

Selection Process:Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test in the shape of an interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments.
