The employees / officials, who are required to pass the Tests, as specified in regulations 94 and 96 of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Service Regulations alone, are eligible to apply for writing the Departmental Tests conducted by TANGEDCO.

TNEB Departmental Test Fees 2021:
- The fees for the Departmental Tests to be held in November 2021 will be Rs.500/-. The candidates are instructed to pay the fees through online (net banking & Debit Card/Credit Card) only along with the applicable GST (18%) and Bank service charges.
- The candidate who have already paid the said amount for appearing during May 2021 exam which was postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic may appear for November 2021 exam.

Payment Status:
The I.T. Wing and Accounts Wing are instructed to initiate a provision for viewing the real-time payment status of the paid candidates.
Remuneration for setting of question paper:
An amount of Rs.10/- each for framing of objective type questions both in English and Tamil shall be paid to the setters and the payment will be credited to the individuals’ bank account through NEFT transfer.

On-line Mode Departmental Tests for November 2021 will be conducted in two sessions on 27.11.2021 (Saturday) and the Schedule for the said tests is as follows:

Venue of Tests:
- On-line Mode Exam from residence: To avoid travelling during pandemic situation, the Departmental Tests for November 2021 will be conducted through On-line Mode.
- The candidates already applied for May 2021 exam and the new applicants for November 2021 exams, who possess the laptops, note pads, I-Pads, Tablets and Personal Computer and willing to write the Departmental Tests for November 2021 through On-line Mode from their residence, may submit their willingness in the examination portal before 31.10.2021.
- The candidates shall ensure that their electronic gadgets from which they are appearing for the exams shall be in good condition with video and audio facility and also to ensure for continuous/uninterrupted internet connection. The TANGEDCO will in no way be responsible for any of the system or internet defects which may arise during the examination.
On-line Mode Exam from Designated Centres:
- The Departmental Tests for November 2021 will also be conducted through On-line Mode in the following centres in co-ordination with the external agency Centre for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC) & HRD Training centre in-charge (Senior Managers).
- The number of centres may increase/decrease depending upon the number of the candidates who submit their willingness to write their exams either in their residence or in the centres allotted for the exams
