TNEA 2023 Counselling Schedule Dates Released By Minister: In Tamil Nadu, the Engineering admission counselling schedule has been released by the state higher education minister Mr. K. Ponmudy on Thursday (13.07.2023) at the directorate of technical education, Guindy, Chennai. According to the schedule, the counseling for special category candidates including differently abled, wards of ex-servicemen, sports quota candidates, and others has been scheduled from July 22.

The general counselling has been scheduled from July 28 to September 3, 2023. Minister states that the engineering counseling has been planned to be held in three rounds instead of four years and tuition fees remittance dates have also been reduced from seven days to five days to complete the counselling earlier.
Nearly 1,78,959 candidates have been registered for around 1,57,378 seats across 430 engineering colleges in the state, the number of seats is increased by 3,100 when compared to the last academic year. Previously the department has planned to conduct the engineering admission counselling from July 2, but this was postponed without mentioning the dates due to the delay of medical counselling.
During this meeting, minister also announced that the department has planned to introduce two new courses in engineering called ‘ECE Advanced Technology’ and ‘ECE Design and Technology’. These new courses will be available for the students from this academic year said Minister.
