It was said that this bonus amount was reduced due to loss of revenue to the government, while non-operation of buses during the Covid period. However, in the present environment, government buses are running fully across Tamil Nadu. This has increased the revenue for the government. Therefore, requests have been made to the government to provide a 25 percent bonus to bus drivers, conductors, and technical staff.
Similarly, it has been urged that a 25 percent bonus should be given to security guards, mess workers, storekeepers and contract workers who have been working for a long time in the transport sector. Accordingly, there has been a demand to give this bonus before the festive season.
