Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation Pensioner to get DA Hike – Madras High Court Order!! An order has been issued to give a hike in dearness allowance to the retired employees of Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporation from November. The Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu Government, Transport Corporation Pension Fund Trust to file a report on November 25 regarding the grant of the allowance.

Earlier, the Madras High Court had ordered that the retired employees of the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation should be given an increase on the basis of dearness. The Tamil Nadu government increased the dearness allowance four times after the order was issued. However, as the hike amount was not paid to the pensioners, a lawsuit was filed by the pensioners.
In the investigation of this case, the Tamil Nadu government explained that due to the excess of employees of the transport corporation, the DA hike was not given immediately. However, the Madras High Court has ordered that the transport pensioners and family pensioners should be given an increase in subsidized rates from November 1.
