TN Govt Announced An Extension Of 1 Year For 2,760 Temporary Teachers Working In Upgraded Schools!!! The announcement of a contract extension for 2,760 temporary teachers working at upgraded schools was made by the Tamil Nadu government. 45 Master of Commerce instructors and 45 Master of Economics teachers were appointed on a temporary basis in 45 schools throughout Tamil Nadu during the academic years 1990–1991 and 2002–2003 to 2006–2007.

Additionally, 100 municipal, corporation and government high schools were converted to higher secondary schools during the academic year 2011–2012, and 900 senior teachers were hired on a temporary basis to teach Tamil, English, history, economics, commerce, physics, chemistry, and biology, among other subjects. Similar to this, in the academic year 2014–2015, 900 senior instructors were appointed on a temporary basis and 100 high schools were elevated to high schools.

Moreover, five government high schools were converted to upper secondary schools during the 2018–19 academic year, and new positions for head teachers were created. Additionally, five schools generated 30 posts, each with six senior teacher positions. Additionally, the government mandated that these positions be filled through recruitment. In addition, 95 middle schools from panchayat unions, municipalities, and corporations were converted into high schools during the 2018–19 academic year.

Similarly, five government high schools for girls were developed from the original five. Thus, 100 government high schools received head teacher positions. In these institutions, 570 post-graduate teaching positions were produced at a rate of 6 positions per school.

Thus, 2,760 temporary teaching positions, including 200 high school headmaster positions, 100 high school headmaster positions, and 2,460 master teacher positions, have been extended through December 31, 2021. Once the work extension is complete, they will be extended again for an additional year, from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 Government directive. The government has also mandated that the wage for the month of September be paid through this.
