As per the notification, Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, or Zoology. Graduates of Fisheries will be given priority. Furthermore, understanding of Information Technology (IT) will be prioritized. Candidates must be under 35 years old (as of July 1, 2021) and have excellent communication abilities in Tamil.
He or she should preferably be a resident of the concerned Taluk’s fishing village/revenue village. If there are no suitable applicants in the concerned fishing/revenue village, candidates from nearby villages/revenue villages within the Taluk shall be considered. A monthly performance reward of Rs.10, 000 would be given to Sagar Mitra position by the board.
