Since March the schools and colleges was closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now after long months the govt planned to reopen the colleges. Students get ready to go. They are requested to follow the instructions given.

As per reference cited above, the Government of Tamil Nadu have announced that Colleges and Universities for UG final year students belonging to Arts, Science, engineering & technology, agriculture, fisheries and veterinary can be re-opened from 7th December, 2020 onwards following the guidelines issued by LGC. Accordingly, as per the direction of the Vice Chancellor, the Classes for UG final year engineering, technology and architecture students re-open from 7th December, 2020, similarly, hostels would be opened from 7th December, 2020 for the above students only.

The dates for re-opening of other lower semester students will be informed later. Online classes will be continued until further orders from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Hence, the Deans of the Campuses, Dean i/c of Regional Campuses and Constituent Colleges, the Principals of affiliated engineering colleges of Anna University are directed to adhere scrupulously to the instructions and existing guidelines given by Government of Tamil Nadu by following standard operating procedures in respect of COVID’19.
Guidelines for the opening of higher education institutions in Tamil Nadu from December 7 have been issued. Only 50% of students should be allowed to wear a mask. Also, it is ordered to conduct classes in rotation.
