As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, the number of students who get a degree is at 51 percent. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Stalin has announced a new scheme named ‘Kamaraj Memorial Building’ to build new classrooms in colleges to raise the standard of higher education across Tamil Nadu. An allocation of Rs.1,000 crore has been made for this.
Similarly, a scheme of giving Rs.1000 per month to girls students who studying in college is also being implemented in Tamil Nadu. Also, to encourage students to get higher education, the government is running a coaching center for competitive exams for students who have completed their degrees under the program ‘Nan Mudhalvan’.
