The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is mandatory for the recruitment of teachers in madrassas across the state. According to this the Minister of State for Minority Welfare Danish Azad Ansari said that, the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be mandatory for recruitment of teachers to provide quality education to students.

Considering this there have made a proposal for implement it. Moreover, NCERT syllabus has been implemented for school students for better quality in education. However, this announcement may not be applicable for the teachers of Urdu, Arabic, Farsi or Diniyat. But, it will be applicable for the teachers of NCERT syllabus, the order said. Meanwhile the Uttar Pradesh government has approved a new teaching from NCERT books in ‘Tathaniya’ which is for classes one to five.
And ‘Faukania’ which is for classes five to eight and madarsas of Aaliya level for high school students. Till now the recruitment for teachers in madrassas is, teachers who teaching classes 1 to 5 should certified with Urdu or any equivalent certificate. Moreover, the minimum qualification for teacher from classes five to eight is Kamil degree or Arabic Persian or Bachelor’s degree from a university with Diniyat, should be mentioned.
