The State Assam government give a hope to the company that they decided to provide all necessary help to transform technical institutes of Assam to technology hubs.
On February 10 2022, in Guwahati, a meeting with the aim of upgrading State’s ITIs and polytechnics to Centres of Excellence was conducted with senior executives of the Tata group. In the occasion of that Guwahati meeting, Himanta Biswa Sarma Chief Minister of the State Assam hope that, the State Government will provide all necessary help to transform technical institutes of Assam to technology hubs under the company’s new project work.

He also reassured that the government of Assam will provide needed space and further all support to introduce state-of-the-art curriculum in all 75 technical institutes of Assam. In that all 75 technical institutes of Assam over 9,000 students will be skilled on the latest engineering skills.

The Chief Minister asked the Tata groups to appoint the well experienced tutors from Tata group in the institutions for five years to train the local teachers, and to take steps for give scholarship to trainees.
