From 27th January to 29th January 2022, the counselling for the special category students like physically disabled, sports and defense quota, government school students will be conducted. More over the Minister said that, the NEET rank-based counselling for all others vertical caste based reservations will be conduct through offline. He stated that, “The decision was made so students and parents need not travel for admissions during the pandemic”.

From 19th January to 28th January, the first round of online counselling would be conduct by the center Medical Counselling Committee. The committee held the counselling for the universities like AIIMS, AFMC, JIPMER and 15 percent of All India Quota Seats. “They have told us not to wait till then. In their schedule, they said states can conduct first round of counselling between January 27 and January 31,” the Minister reported.

In this academic year 2021-22 the central medical committee conduct the counselling for the seats of 6, 999. Eleven new government medical colleges already added in that counselling programme. The committee also conducting counselling for admission to 1,930 BDS seats in Government and Self Finance Colleges.
