The Directorate of Government Examinations will now discussing about that the exam for Class 12 students would be postponed from May to August. Due to the impact of the second wave of corona in Tamil Nadu is spreading fast. As a result, there are many chances to postponed the Class 12 Public examination likely to take place in August.

Directorate of Government Examination(DGE), Tamil Nadu conducts TN 12th examinations every year. The board has postponed the first paper of TN 12th exams 2021 due to the Assembly Election Results 2021 counting which is scheduled for May 2. The paper which was to be held on May 3 will planned to be conducted on May 31.

But in this situation the impact of the second wave of corona in Tamil Nadu is spreading rapidly. So now the board has discussing about the examination. At the end of this discussion, the board will be expected to announce officially that the examination will be conduct or postpone or cancel.

Covid – 19 situation in Tamilnadu

Tamil Nadu recorded an all-time high of 7,819 fresh cases of COVID-19 on 14.04.2021. This is the highest daily case count since the start of the pandemic, eclipsing the 6,993 cases recorded on July 27 last year.

Even as fresh cases breached the 7,000-mark for the first time in the State, Chennai marked yet another high as 2,564 people tested positive for the virus in the city. The number of samples tested in 24 hours across the State was 97,668.
