Tamil Nadu Govt Suspends Earned Leave Encashment for 1 Year, Know Here!!!. State Government of Tamil Nadu has been suspended Earned Leave Encashment for one year for its government employees. The government has made an official statement that the Earned Leave Encashment will be suspended till March 31, 2022. The government has reportedly decided to avoid the financial burden caused by the corona spread.
Due to the outbreak of corona, a curfew has been in effect in Tamil Nadu. This resulted in the closing of factories and a lack of income for the economy. Owing to low taxation, the government intended to cut spending expenditure. As a result, several reforms were implemented, including the creation of new jobs in government offices and cost reductions at government functions.
TN Government brought many reforms in order to reduce the financial burden on the state. Now the state government has been announced that the Earned Leave Encashment paid to Tamil Nadu government employees will be suspended for one year. Accordingly, Earned Leave Encashment earned by government employees will not be paid till March 31, 2022.
Following the orders issued by the Tamil Nadu Government and in view of the severe financial crisis arising out of COVID-19 pandemic, the department under the state government will adopt the decision for the State government employees of suspending the Earned Leave Encashment for One Year.
