Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin Got Booster Dose- Check COVID 19 Third Wave, Omicron Precautionary Dose Details: The nationwide drive for healthcare workers, frontline workers, and people aged 60 and above was started from January 10, 2022. At this situation, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has taken ‘precautionary dose’ of COVID 19 vaccine. ‘Precautionary dose’ is nothing but third dose in addition to first second dosages.
All healthcare workers, frontline workers, and people aged 60 and above are encouraged to get the ‘precautionary dose’. This dose has been known as ‘Booster’ or “Precautionary Dose”. The main objective of a booster dose is to restore vaccine effectiveness. This will be Precautionary effect for the emerging thread “Omicron” the third wave of COVID 19.
As per the data from the Health Ministry, 1.05 crore healthcare, 1.9 crore frontline workers, and 2.75 crore people are in the 60years or above age group would be administered the precautionary dose. This dose can be get at no cost that means, free at all government Covid-19 vaccination centres. At the same time, Private hospitals will charge a maximum of Rs 780 for Covishield, for Covaxin, Rs 1,410 for, and Sputnik V will cost Rs 1,145 as per report in June 2021.
The important point to note is the third dose must be the same vaccine that people have received for their first two doses.
