Tamil Nadu Budget 2021- Live Updates: Tamil Nadu Government Interim budget 2021 is presented by the Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam. Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam holds the finance portfolio. This budget is presented at Chennai’s Kalaivanar Arangam at 11.00 A.M today. This is the 11th budget which presented by Panneeraselvam. He presented the interim budget amid walk out by the members of the opposition DMK and its allies, the Congress and the Indian Union Muslim League.

11.00 AM TN deputy CM O Panneeraselvam arrived at the state assembly to present the interim budget 2021-22.

 

11.10 AM Deputy leader of DMK S Durai Murugan willing to raise a point though speaker decline. Then DMK MLAs staged a walkout from session
11.24AM O Panneeraselvam announced Tamil Nadu attracted large-scale industrial investment even during the Covid pandemic situation. And the state’s debt burden is currently at Rs. 4.85 trillion. This burden is set to increase to Rs. 5.7 trillion.
11.25 AM TN Government had allocated Rs. 19.42 crore to the state health sector
11.28 AM OPS said Rs 12,000 crore allocated for farm loan waiver, Rs. 6,683 crore has been allocated to commence the Metro Rail project in Coimbatore.

 

 

11.36 AM The state government had allocated Rs 144 crore for Amma clinics. This type of clinics were launched in December last year
11.38 AM Rs. 3700 crore has been allocated under PM housing scheme.
11.41 AM Revenue deficit was estimated at Rs 41,437 cr for this year.
11.43 AM The government allocated Rs. 18,750 crore in Tamil Nadu highways sector.

11.48 AM The TN Govt. has allocated 21,218 crore for rural development in the state. And in the aim to boost to the fishing industry, the state government allotted Rs. 580 crore. And Rs. 6,453 allocated to the Water Resources Department.

11.55 AM Rs. 1932 crore allotted for Adi Dravidar department and Rs 7,217cr for power sector
12.07 PM TN Govt plans to give health insurance to 55.67 lakh families who have Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards.
12.10 PM For the police department, Rs 9,577 crore has been allocated.
12.11 PM special schemes worth of Rs. 1700 crore allotted for the disabled person
12.15 PM Rs 1,02,000 crore has been allocated for government pensioner and employees
12.17 PM TN school education sector has been allotted with Rs.34,181 crore
12.30 PM Rs 6.941cr announced for Cauvery-South Vellaru river link project of TN and additional amount of Rs. 100 crore has been allocated for the modernising of the state police
12.32 PM Rs. 4371 crore has been distributed under marriage assistance scheme
12.36 PM Tamil Nadu allotted Rs 2,470 crore for new medical colleges constructions
12.43 PM The amount of Rs 6,683cr has been allotted for Coimbatore metro rail project
12.49 PM Rs. 144.33 crore allotted for the construction of 2749 community health complexes.
01.05 PM OPS has announced TN received Rs. 1492 from the World Bank to finance the state’s housing sector.
