CM allocated Rs. 230 crores for this initiative after communicating with the principal secretary of the social welfare department Mr. P. Manivannan. The directive instruction was issued by CM during a meeting with the vice-chancellor of the state government and affiliated universities along with the senior officials of the higher education department.
CM also highlighted that laptops should be provided to all the students in the university irrespective of the community, the report states that the implementation of this decision is set to be decided in the upcoming days. This is a piece of happy news for the students across the state who are pursuing degrees in state universities.
