State Govt. Plans To Approve GPS and Other Key Decisions!!! Happy News for AP Employees: In Andhra Pradesh, the state government decides to provide a Guaranteed Pension Scheme (GPS) which comprises an assured 50% pension of the last drawn salary of the employees. The state decides this on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy. GPS is moreover similar to the Old pension scheme (OPS) which was announced by various states across the country.
The government also decides to approve other key decision that is 6,840 new government jobs and the regularisation of 10,000 contract employees who have completed 5 years of service. The GPS will replace the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) which was opposed by state government employees.
According to the report, the GPS would also ensure the gradual increase of the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees. The press note shared by the government states that the government has amended the GPS on considering the welfare of the employees. This consecutive decision of welfare schemes has made the state employees to cherish.
