SKUAST Kashmir Recruitment 2020 Educational Qualification:

Position: Guest Lecturers
Department: Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Phsiology, Veterinary Anatomy & Histology, Livestock Products Technology, Livestock Production Management, Veterinary Public Health, Animal Nutrition, Civil Engeering, Mechanical Engineering
Business Management (Marketing), Agri -Economics, Farm Machinery & Power, Engineering, English
Eligibility criteria: The candidate must possess Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in OGPA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in the concerned subject.
D degree (with course work) in concerned subject as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009. (Ph.D relaxablefor candidates holding Postgraduate Degree in Veterinary Science along with one publication in NAAS rated /referred journal & NET).
NET or at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating of not less than 04, on the last date of submission of application.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) is an agricultural university located in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. With its main campus in Shalimar, Srinagar, the University has multiple campuses, colleges, research and extension centers across the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh regions of the state. The university was founded in 1982 by an Act passed by the State Legislature of Jammu and Kashmir. It was named after Kashmiri leader Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah who is popularly known as Sher-e-Kashmir (Lion of Kashmir). The name given to the university was “”Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology”” (SKUAST). Initially, the university had jurisdiction over the entire State of Jammu & Kashmir with its headquarters at Shalimar, Srinagar.
When the SKUAST Act came in force, the agricultural education, research and extension training units were transferred to SKUAST from various development departments viz; Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry and Sericulture of Jammu & Kashmir State. In 1998-99, the territorial jurisdiction of the University was redefined by amending the SKUAST Act 1982 under which a separate agricultural University was established for Jammu Division and named as Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) with its territorial jurisdiction extended to the entire Jammu Division. The parent University was renamed as Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K)

The Contractual lecturer shall be paid consolidated remuneration @Rs. 28, 000/- per month.

Walk-in-Interview for engagement of Contractual/Guest Lecturers for teaching assignments during Spring Semester-2020, in the below mentioned Faculties/ Colleges of SKUAST-K shall be held on 20.03.2020 at 10:30 a.m. in the Directorate of Education, SKUAST-Kashmir, Shalimar

Interested eligible candidates may report for interview along with application affixed with recent photograph and brief bio-data giving full details of academic records accompanied with all relevant testimonials/certificates in original and one set of Xerox copies duly attested thereof and a Bank draft of Rs. 500/- pledged to Comptroller, SKUAST-Kashmir, payable at J&K Bank, SWAST-K, Shalimar.
