It has been reported that the central government is planning to increase 4 allowances after the increase in the DA. If that happens, central government employees will get a pay rise. According to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the traveling allowance and city allowance of the central government employees will be increased, while the amount of provident fund (PF) and gratuity is also likely to be increased.

The Calculation of PF and gratuity of central government employees is done on the basis of basic pay and dearness allowance (DA) of the employee.
