RRC WCR GDCE Selection Process:

The Candidates will be Recruited after the Computer Based Test (CBT) and Skill Test /Translation Test (where ever applicable) and Document Verification/Medical Examination.

RRC WCR GDCE Exam Pattern:

• The CBT Exam will be conducted for 100 Marks with 100 Questions.
• The Exam Duration is 90 minutes (120 Minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied with Scribe)
• Note: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answer in CBTs. Deduction of 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be made for each wrong answer.

 Pattern of Technician CBT:

• The Exam Timing for Part A and Part B together is 2 hours and 30 Minutes
• PART A – Duration: 90 Min, No of Questions: 100
• PART B – Duration: 60 Min, No of Questions: 75

Junior Translator:

• The Question Paper shall be in both the knowledge of English language as well as knowledge of Hindi language.
• 50% of the questions will be designed to test language proficiency – 20% for English and 30% for Hindi and remaining questions will be on General Knowledge, General Intelligence, Simple Arithmetic and basics of computer.

Translation Test –The Translation Test shall be only a qualifying test and the qualifying pass marks shall be 60%

Staff Nurse CBT Pattern:

The Question paper for Single Stage CBT will be of 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates) duration for 100 questions

JE Category Posts

1. a) General Awareness : Knowledge of Current affairs, Indian geography, culture and history of India including freedom struggle, Indian Polity and constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments etc.
2. b) Physics and Chemistry: Up to 10th standard CBSE syllabus.
3. c) Basics of Computers and Applications: Architecture of Computers; input and Output devices; Storage devices, Networking, Operating System like Windows, Unix, Linux; MS Office; Various data representation; Internet and Email; Websites & Web Browsers; Computer Virus.
4. d) Basics of Environment and Pollution Control: Basics of Environment; Adverse effect of environmental pollution and control strategies; Air, water and Noise pollution, their effect and control; Waste Management, Global warming; Acid rain; Ozone depletion.
5. e) Technical Abilities: The educational qualifications mentioned against each post shown in Annexure-A, have been grouped into different exam groups as below. Questions on the Technical abilities will be framed in the syllabus defined for various Exam Groups given at Annexure-IA, IB,IC & ID

Technician Category/Miscellaneous Category Posts

1. Mathematics Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.
2. General Intelligence and Reasoning Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and decision making, Similarities and differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.
3. Basic Science and Engineering The broad topics that are covered under this shall be Engineering Drawing (Projections, Views, Drawing Instruments, Lines, Geometric figures, Symbolic Representation), Units, Measurements, Mass Weight and Density, Work Power and Energy, Speed and Velocity, Heat and Temperature, Basic Electricity, Levers and Simple Machines, Occupational Safety and Health, Environment Education, IT Literacy etc.
4. General Awareness on Current Affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance.

General Science: Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (up to 10th standard CBSE syllabus).
