• Be the HS&E specialist for the business accountable for the performance and results, maintaining knowledge of best practise HS&E legislation, process and performance.
• Establish, maintain and lead all significant accident and incident investigations, record systems, reports and accident trend analysis.
• Identify report and validate the required data through the HS&E Management Information System (MIS).
• Respond to HS&E incidents in the business and maintain communications on the situation as required. Coach leaders to undertake and complete investigations.
• Further analyse incident data to identify and understand trends and to propose improvement actions.
• Support the sharing of incident learning and apply learnings from elsewhere in a prioritised way.
• Monitor and communicate action closure status arising from incidents
• Maintain a local risk-based assurance programme, consistent with the business programme and considering legal and other requirements.
• Monitor progress, interpret, communicate and drive action on trends and insights. Use assurance findings to improve risk management.
• Building on the business arrangements, identify, prioritise, agree with management and implement engagement plans
