Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun has released the announcement regarding the Last Date Extension for Admission of the year January -2021 term. It is hereby informed that the earlier scheduled last date for submission of applications for RIMC Entrance Examination for January 2021 Term is 31st March, 2020. But, due to prevailing situation of COVID-19, (CORONA VIRUS) across the Country, all Government / Public Schools are closed till 31/03/2020. Hence, the Last date for submission of application forms will be decided and announced later by RIMC, Dehradun. Eligibilty Criteria:
Age Limit:
Those seeking admission to the College should not be less than 11 ½ years in age and should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 1st January – 2021. i.e., They should not be born earlier than 02nd January 2008 and not later than 1 st July 2009. No relaxation of age limit will be allowed.
Educational Qualification:
The candidates should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognised School, at the time of admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College i.e. on 1 st January 2021..
Selection Process:
Written Test Date:
The qualifying examination for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, January – 2021 term, will be held on 1st June 2020 F.N & A.N and 2nd June 2020 F.N only at selected centres in the country of which Chennai city will be one. The examination will consist of both written and Viva-Voce tests.
Exam Pattern:
The written examination will consist of three papers viz. English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The medium of examination will be in English or Hindi for the subjects Mathematics and General Knowledge.
Viva Voce:
The Interview date shall be 06th October 2020 (Tuesday), and interview will be held for only those candidates who qualify in the written exam, Minimum pass marks in the interview is 50% and the date, venue for interview will be intimated to them by first week of September 2020. Intelligence and personality of the candidates will be tested in the interview.
Medical Examination:
All the candidates qualified after interview will undergo a medical examination at selected Military Hospitals and only those candidates found medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC. The medical examination of the candidates forms only a part of the system of selection and does not imply the final selection.
Interview Details:
The interview will be held to test the intelligence, personality etc., of the candidates. The interview shall be held on 06.10.2020 only for the candidates who qualify in the written examination and the time and venue for the interview will be intimated to them later. Minimum pass marks in each paper including interview will be 50%.
Application Fee and Prospectus Details:
The prospectus – cum – application form with set of old question papers for the above examination can be obtained by speed post from the “The Commandant, Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, PIN 248 003.” by sending a written request with a Demand Draft to the value of Rs.600/- for General candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates alongwith caste certificates drawn in favour of “The Commandant, R I M C, Dehradun”, payable at State Bank of India – Tel. Bhavan Branch, Dehradun (Code – 01576) or by making online payment of Rs.600/- for General candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST Candidates through RIMC website – www.rimc.gov.in.
The application form and prospectus will not be supplied to the candidates from the Office of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Chennai. Locally printed / Photo copied and without RIMC Hologram (Seal) forms will be rejected
How to Apply:
TNPSC:
Filled-in- applications in the prescribed form in duplicate from the candidates (Boys only) whose parents or guardians RESIDE IN TAMIL NADU should reach the Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, TNPSC Road, Park Town, Chennai-600 003 not later than 5.45 p.m. on 31.03.2020.

TSPSC:
Applications in duplicate in prescribed form accompanied by documents to be attached with the application form are; Two Passport size Photographs, Domicile Certificate of the candidate, Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal Corporation / Gram Panchayat, SC, ST Certificate and Certificate from Principal of the school in original with photograph on it attested stating date of Birth and Class in which candidate is studying.
Application forms from the candidates whose parents/guardians are domicile of Telangana State should reach the TSPSC by 31st March 2020. The wards of Central Government Employees, in order to verify the antecedents of such candidates intend to take the written examination in Telangana, are free to ask for service certificates over and above the routine documentation. The candidates appear for examination in Telangana must also satisfy themselves with respect to place of duty of the parent/guardian. Other than the above, no other candidate is allowed to appear for written examination in Telangana except candidate’s domicile is Telangana. The application form must be sent to the T.S.P.S.C only but not to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
