Compared to the prior year, there was a 56 percent rise in new hires for RIL and a 132 percent increase for Reliance Retail. Reliance Industries (RIL), the most valuable corporation in India and one of the biggest employers, added 2.32 lakh (2, 32,822) new positions, bringing its total headcount to 3, 42,982 at the end of FY22, according to RIL’s annual report for 2021–22. RIL employs 22,642, Reliance Retail 2, 15,614 and Jio 83,347 of the total workforce.

The retail division of RIL continued to grow both physically and online, adding more than 1, 50,000 jobs throughout the year. The company’s numerous partnerships with international brands, the opening of new stores, and plans to create many more in the coming months coincided with the period of the significant recruiting for the retail sector.

Reliance Industries, which has holdings in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecom, and retail, is chaired and managed by MukeshAmbani. Although oil-refining and petrochemicals account for about 60% of Reliance’s earnings, the conglomerate has been lowering this reliance by diversifying into retail, telecommunications, and technology.

Reliance is being refocused by Ambani on renewable energy. In addition to spending $80 billion on renewable energy over the following 10 to 15 years, the firm is developing a new complex next to its refinery. In order to take the lead in the global shift to clean energy, RIL stated it will increase investments in the green energy project it just unveiled.

“Over the course of the next year, our investments in various segments of the green energy value chain will gradually start to take effect. In approximately 5-7 years, this new development engine has the potential to surpass all of our current growth engines “According to a remark made by MukeshAmbani to shareholders in the company’s annual report for the year ending March 31.”In the same way that India currently offers wireless broadband at the lowest price in the world, we will do the same with green energy by the end of this decade.”

In order to help the company become net carbon zero by the year 2035, Reliance proposed in June of last year to invest Rs.75, 000 crore over three years to build four gig factories on 5,000 acres in Jamnagar. These factories would manufacture solar panels, energy storage systems, electrolyzers, and fuel cells, as well as forge international alliances. Follow our site for daily updates regarding this.
