Reduced Income Tax For Social Influencers and Others Tax Deducted at Source-TDS on free salary for social media influencers like You Tubers, Blog Spot runners and others. The TDS deduction on salary can only be made at the time when actual payment is made. Also, it will be deducted when the employee’s salaried income is taxable. However, if the pay is equal to or less than Rs. 2, 50,000, then TDS on salary will not be deducted.
People who are working as a Social media influencers and doctors will get the freebies on TDS at their sales promotions, as per new government guidelines from the income tax department. This Tax Deducted at Source-TDS will come into practise from July 1 onwards. This new TDS will apply to freebies retained by the persons.
The Tax Deducted at Source-TDS is not applicable to the consumers who have the salary benefits availed don’t exceed Rs. 20,000 in a year.
